Today’s Horoscope
It’s difficult to justify playing with your friends today, even after your chores are finished. You have such a backlog of obligations that you don’t feel done even if you checked off lots of items on your “to-do” list. Feeling guilty is a waste of time, as is explaining yourself to anyone else. Just do as much as you can and then reward yourself by letting go of any concerns that will prevent you from enjoying the present moment.
I miss my social life *sigh*

Our bunsoy passed the nursing board exam!
Partida, bulakbol iyan hahaha. Never ko nakitang nagbuklat ng libro iyan nung college.

We’re proud of you, Bimbin! I’m sure Mama’s doing cartwheels in heaven
A long time ago, I casually mentioned to Paolo that I never had a kiddie party. I had birthday celebrations, but those were semi-formal dinners that only the adults enjoyed.
So for Valentine’s, he surprised me with…

a kiddie party! with balloons...

and crepe hearts...

and party music...

and kiddie party food...

and party hats...

and a loot bag...

containing mini-slinkies...

and a bunnywammit pen!
Of course, any party wouldn’t be complete without…

party animals!
But Teddy wasn’t done yet. He gave me a card and…

the best gift

i've ever received

i don't even remember telling him that i wanted one
Yes, my boyfriend is a sweetheart. He’s so sweet that he makes my gifts seem sooo lame, hahaha. I gave Paolo-the-poetry-lover compilations of poems by Emily Dickinson and e.e. cummings, and wrote him a poem even though I suck.
I also drew something for him even though I suck at that, too.
But even though my work was terrible, Teddy framed it and put it in his bedroom.
Now I’m not sure if he’s sweet or crazy
But I am sure of two things: 1.) I am a freakinlucky girl. 2.) Paolo is the best Teddy in the world (and the only Teddy in my world).

♥♥♥
I love you, Teddy Bear! :-* Thank you for making me SO happy! *hugs*
Supper at Chocolate Kiss…

fish fillet with pesto salsa sauce for me

salpicao for him

my favorite, chocolate chip cheesecake

our "something new," sour cream cheesecake (i don't care for it hehe)

Before I end this entry, let me introduce you to our new “picketeer” (don’t ask)…

pink+fatty=patty!
So may Burger na kami, may Patty pa. And we call Kate culinary reductionist…
- 17:38 @celestialpsyche i had a dream din years ago na namasyal kami ni mama. then we reached a dark alley and she told me she had to leave na. #
- 17:41 @celestialpsyche she looked sad but resigned. siyempre i cried upon waking up. it sucked to relive, in a way, the worst thing that ever #
- 17:43 happened to me. so hiniling ko kay God na wag ko na sanang mapanaginipan si mama kasi torture yung goodbye part

25 Random Things
- When I was two or three years old, I roamed my Valenzuela neighborhood every afternoon and sang and danced for anyone willing to pay. My favorite song was Sustagen’s “Konting Halo Halo.” I earned as much as P50 a day from my “suki,” tabloid writer Cristy Fermin.
-
I saw my first pornographic movie when I was four. Its title was “Play Nice.” Hahaha.
-
My family used to live inside a shoe factory. Playtime for me and my siblings involved hiding behind stacks of shoe boxes, making fancy fingernails out of size stickers and using trolleys as scooters.
-
I don’t know how to play piko, I have never climbed up a tree and I have never played under the rain.
-
Naunahan ako ni Ate sa pagiging Pink Five (Bioman) so I settled with Yellow Four. I felt so glad when the original, boring Yellow Four died and was replaced by this cool archer, hehehe. Pagdating ng Maskman, I made sure na ako na si Pink Mask. I thought pink was cooler than yellow.
-
I had my first bout with depression in first grade, when I got a 93 in a science test. Yes, I was and still am grade-conscious. I recently felt disappointed for getting a 1.25 for a paper.
-
I was Miss Canada in my school’s Miss United Nations pageant in 1994. (I know!) Nakalimutan ko na yung tanong sa akin nung question and answer portion, but I remember my answer: To get what you want, you must have self-confidence. ROFL. Unbelievably, I won.
-
I used to sing to our late pet dog, Schuyler (oha, ang shala ng name). His favorite was “Mula Sa Puso” ahehe.
-
I cry whenever I remember one lunch break in third grade, when Mama brought me fried galunggong, rice and mango (which she sliced into small cubes) and watched me lovingly as I ate ravenously under a tree.
-
I learned about Mama’s colon cancer only after she died in 1996. Hungry for information about what killed my mother, I rummaged through her medical files and stole one of the laboratory results. I couldn’t understand the document so I hid it in my closet, hoping that one day I would be smart enough to know what it meant. I saw the lab result again last December. It still didn’t make sense.
-
When Papa informed me that he had a girlfriend, melodramatic me imagined him bringing home a guest relations officer whom I accepted immediately because dammit after all he’d been through, my father deserved to be happy. I felt relieved when he introduced me to Tita Tes, a chemical engineer who has never set foot in a girlie bar.
-
I was on full scholarship from high school to college =)
-
I hated high school with a passion. Nakakaloka ang dramatismo!
-
I trained for international math competitions back in high school. I stopped only because the training sessions coincided with a series of writing competitions. Then I knew that I wanted to take up journalism and not any math-related course. My math teacher, who had been coaching me since first grade, was shocked.
-
I used to think I was all that. Then I entered the University of the Philippines. Despite the realization that I was, er, regular, I LOVED college.
-
The first R-18 movie I watched in the cinema was “Original Sin.” I was with Kate and Isa.
-
I would have graduated magna cum laude if not for this chauvinist who gave me a 2.75. I fell short by 0.019! Yes, I’m still bitter about it!
-
I have more than 50 moles.
-
I like pulling hair out of their roots. I pluck my eyebrows, arm hair, leg hair (siyempre I also shave or wax para mas mabilis), even other people’s knuckle hair. (By other people, I mean Paolo.) Sometimes I even pull out eyelashes. It makes me happy, hehe.
-
How obsessive-compulsive am I? Tina-time ko ang pag-curl ng aking eyelashes.
-
I am taking up my Masters in Women and Development at UP Diliman. Most of my study time is spent inside the MRT and jeepneys. I read and highlight even while standing inside a crowded train. I love being able to hit two birds with one stone.
-
I advocate feminism.
-
Hindi ko pa rin alam kung anong gusto kong maging balang araw. All I know for sure is I want to be relevant.
-
Paolo started calling me “Wabbit” when he saw me excitedly open a bag of chips using my prominent front teeth.
-
I am weird but adorable.
Bebe Gandanghari is here! At pinagkaguluhan siya ng mga empleyado, haha. Usually hindi nayayanig ang mga tao kahit sinong artista o pulitiko ang dumating (Well, except Sharon Cuneta. Nagka-stampede dito nun). But this time, may squeals of delight pa hehe.
Mas maganda at makinis pa siya sa aming lahat. Sad
