I’ve had a number of blog ideas involving my kiddie cousins, but I never got around to posting entries about them because I wasn’t comfortable with the thought of exposing aspects of their life to the online world.

The last picture shows Ate Rochelle, our cousin Jay (That’s what his friends call him. To us, he’ll always be dear old Momoy :-p) and CJ working on the latter’s first project as class mayor — the Tree of Good Values. Hehe, ang cute. Parang ngayon na lang ulit ako nakakita ng crayons sa bahay

I love living with these kids I love seeing Angel come home from school in her Sailor Moon-esque uniform tapos bubulagta siya sa sala at sasabihing, “Pagod na pagod ako, Ate Yey.” And I love exchanging trivia with CJ about seaweed and other dorky stuff. Among other things.

What I also truly love is the fact that we no longer have to squeeze ourselves, all 14 of us, into a small three-bedroom house with just two bathrooms. I lovelovelove our new, bigger house in Sikatuna Village, with its wide staircase, functioning showers and bidets, and its being near an ice cream parlor and Paolo’s house. (What a love-riddled paragraph )

Now if PLDT could only install our phone line this very moment, then I’d be a perfectly happy bunny. Miss ko na ang wifi ko!

Mula sa mga bata, magtungo tayo sa mga isip-bata. Paolo and I went to SM North Edsa’s Sky Garden last Friday and were ecstatic to find (actually, ako lang yung ecstatic :-p) a store selling nothing but colorful cotton candies and a branch of Cello’s!

Siyempre, hindi mawawala ang Father’s Day entry

Recently, I heard Papa tell his new anaks that so long as they’re students living under his roof, they’d have to follow his rules. BUT, like me and my siblings, the kiddos would be free to do as they pleased upon graduating.

Unlike so many fathers, Papa knows when and how to let go. And I’m thankful for that. He has never questioned the decisions I have made as an adult even though, I’m sure, he disagreed with many of them. He lets me make my own mistakes, confident that I’ll learn from these. Tahimik lang yang nago-obserba. Lalapit lang yan pag na-feel niyang I’m in deep shit na, haha.

Pag Nanay na ako, gagayahin ko ang game plan na yan. Idol ko Tatay ko e I love you, Papa Tabachoy! Happy Father’s Day!

i was sitting in my room one night, looking outside while it rained.

a bolt of lightning in the distance filled my eyes with light for only a split second, and afterward, i was filled with joy.

i was joyous to know that something so simple, so divine, with such force existed in this world.

for one moment, heaven and earth were connected by a bridge of light.

no matter how dark, how chaotic, how noisy, the night time rain is. this act of god will let you know that in the darkness there is light, and its booming voice will overpower and overcome all other voices that try to daunt you.

strangely enough, i saw a vision of my girlfriend in the split second that the light filled my eyes. i felt thankful, for the light that never ceases to fill my eyes, for the voice that overpowers other voices that try to daunt me. and for the bridge to heaven that, in a simple act of god, was given to me.

in that vision, i was joyous to know that something so simple, so divine, with such force existed in this world… and that it is mine.
